Jun Ji Hyun Biography
Jun Ji-hyun started her career modeling for “Echo” magazine in 1997 and then featuring in some commercial advertisement.
Jun Ji-hyun was noticed overseas when she featured in famous Hong Kong singer Leon Lai’s music video in 1998.
Jun Ji-hyun made her first Korean TV series debut in 1997 in “The Season of Puberty.” In 1999 she starred in the acclaimed TV drama “Happy Together” and made her big screen debut in “White Valentine.”
Jun Ji-hyun first major success in acting was in 2000 box office hit “Il Mare.” The story of Il Mare was being adapted into a Hollywood movie, “The Lake House” in 2006 starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
It was in 2001 that Ji-hyun got the breakthrough and become an Asian superstar with movie “My Sassy Girl” with actor Cha Tae-hyun. Ji-hyun’s role as a naughty, annoying, raging yet adorable and lovable lady is one of the most classical character in Korean movies.
